The sustained speed was always lower than 40Mbps (or 320Mbps). By the way, generally, you need to plug a Powerline adapter directly into a wall socket. During my testing, it showed solid green almost all the time, and I could never get a sustained speed between the two of 40Mbps. Powerline is tricky in terms of how far you can place the adapters from each other.

HYTE, as a company and its products, are inspired by the needs and behaviors of its community and the many ways people play. Up to 249 ARGB LEDs can be powered simultaneously at maximum brightness by a single Nexus Link Type-C channel. AmpScale will automatically recalculate and distribute the available current for expanded power delivery and alert users when capacity needs to be adjusted. Every node in the network is equipped with its own microcontroller, enabling two-way communication between the HYTE Nexus software and Nexus Link hardware nodes. The NexusLink support pages don’t have much to help with troubleshooting, setting the devices up or getting new software.
However, that number doesn’t mean much, considering it has a 1Gbps network port, which is the cap of its networking output. The adapter is so thick, though, you’ll still have a hard time finding a good place for it, especially in a tight corner. That’s the only way to truly get the best home network in this age of Wi-Fi 6 and 5G. Sure, I’ve been recommending folks to run network cables of late.
- Transform your home’s existing coaxial cables into a high-speed Ethernet network with the Nexuslink Ethernet over Coax Adapter Kit.

- What fields commonly use the term "nexus"?
And in this case, there’s a security button on the right side that helps link them securely via AES 128 bits encryption. However, if you get an additional adapter, you’ll need to sync them up. So with the kit, there’s nothing to setting it up at all. Indeed, in my testing, the two adapters worked almost instantly when I plugged them in. In fact, the time you spent reading this paragraph is about all it’d take to get your network extended. The GPL-2000PT comes in a kit of two (model GPL-2000PT-KIT).

To properly test the NexusLink, I used both the HTC Vive Cosmos using the Wireless Adapter, as well as an Oculus Quest 2, using both Airlink and Virtual Desktop to play Steam games. This SSID is exclusively for my wireless VR headset. Bandwidth contention over wireless will rear its head, and you’ll probably get to see what your lunch looks like all over again.

Simply plugging it into a port on your router, the NexusLink will immediately begin broadcasting a new wireless SSID – in my case “NexusLink_A030”. The NexusLink Wireless Gaming Bridge is essentially a router that is acting as a dedicated bridge directly to your primary router. In most homes you probably have a single router shouting as loud as it can to reach all the devices in your house. To understand what a bridge does, you need to know what a router and a switch are and how they all interconnect. It’s no wonder you can fire up your favorite VR headset and go wireless only to have a terrible experience, despite being directly in front of your PC and a few feet from a router. Customers have mixed experiences with the router's gaming functionality.

"After nearly 15 years of attending CES and over 25 years of building, upgrading, and occasionally molding PCs, I'm probably not very easy to impress," Matt wrote from the show floor. That should lead to better performance in cases where there's room for bulkier cooling hardware. It's hard to go check out a gaming company's wares at CES without seeing a whole lot of RGB. Site design and front-end production by Ninjalane LLC In this review I’ll be looking at a new product from NexusLink called the WB-1750-KIT.
